Juan Fuster Verdú (IFIC), new institutional delegate of the CSIC in the Valencian Community

The professor and researcher of the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (IFIC), Juan Fuster Verdú, was appointed last Monday, September 16, new institutional delegate of the CSIC in the Valencian Community, replacing José Pío Beltrán Porter.

The researcher is an expert recognized for his work on precision measurements of the Standard Model. Fuster launched in the IFIC a pioneer research group in Spain in the development of silicon detectors applied to particle physics, this group contributed to the construction of the ATLAS detector, one of the two large experiments of the LHC where the Higgs' Boson.

INEUSTAR was a relevant collaborator of the IFIC in "International Conference on High Energy Physics" (ICHEP-Valencia) which was led by Juan Fuster, organizing one of the first meetings between Spanish companies and international scientific facilities.
